About the Festival

Wiscasset Schoonerfest is a cooperative venture of the Town of Wiscasset and Wiscasset Creative Alliance to commemorate the berth of the last of the four-masted schooners —Hesper and Luther Little—and to celebrate the return of the When and If to her home harbor. It is our mission and our passion to bring to life Wiscasset´s distinguished shipbuilding heritage and celebrated commerce of the 1800´s as well as the remarkable preserved 300-year-old architecture of our village.

Schoonerfest is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is a member of the Wiscasset Creative Alliance – a visionary umbrella of Wiscasset community organizations made up entirely of volunteers.

Good morning! Wiscasset Schoonerfest is back at it again! We are already in the planning phases for next year’s event! We are actively looking for volunteers, so if you are interested, send us a message! You can also like and share this post so that we can reach as many people as possible! Thanks mateys! ⛵️⚓️🙌🏽 Four days of music, cruises, art, food, games, re-enactors, and a triathlon - it all starts tomorrow! Of course, the stars of Schoonerfest 2022 will be the two visiting schooners, the When & If and the Tyrone. We will be celebrating their arrivals and departures. In between, both will be available for short cruises - see our website, wiscassetschoonerfest.com, for the links to reserve your places. Catch the talented duo Celtic Roots at Schoonerfest 2022. Heather MacLeod will get Schoonerfest off to a lively start Saturday morning with tunes on the penny whistle - Schoonerfest 2022 is delighted to present accordion virtuoso Jeff Grosser - Schoonerfest 2022 -- what about food and drink while you're enjoying the music, cruises, art, history . . . ? Schoonerfest presents the vocal harmony of John Mayberry and Jamie Beaton -- Schoonerfest 2022 will have music on Main Street!
