When & If

We are proud to welcome back the When & If to Wiscasset Schoonerfest in August 2022. “When and If is a yacht designed by John Alden and commissioned by then Colonel George S. Patton, a widely regarded American war hero.[2] It was built in 1939 as a private yacht by boatbuilder F.F. Pendleton in Wiscasset, Maine.[3][4] It was constructed of double planked mahogany over black locust frames and an oak keel.[5] (Wikipedia.com)

The Children’s Schooner

To accompany the other amazing schooners we have in this year’s Wiscasset Schoonerfest, we have included the participation of a smaller schooner that is geared towards showing the younger skippers in your family some of the ropes on a real wooden boat with shorter trips for kids.
